For my home renovation I required all joinery to be replaced and contacted Dando Joinery for their quote and also if they could meet a few conditions. 

1 – I wanted Yellow Alaskan Cedar wood to be used including cedar frames and jams. 

2 – I wanted to recreate a 110 yr old heritage front door from a photo and handmade drawing as I couldn’t remove the door. 

3 – I wanted the same heritage door then made into internal cavity sliders. 

In the current environment where most building suppliers and or trades put everything into the too hard basket or simply don’t listen to what you want, Dando Joinery simply said no problem and quoted competitive prices and lead times. 

Dando came around measured up, discussed potential issues and got everything underway. Their communication to keep me updated on progress or to double check aspects was top notch. Even the delivery guy was on time and extremely polite and friendly. 

The final product and workmanship is outstanding and I’m extremely pleased with the end products. The reproduction heritage door is just incredible and an exact match. The thicker window and door sills also match the heritage look I wanted for my renovation. 

If you want top quality Kiwi craftsmanship there’s literally nothing these guys can’t make or recreate in addition to their standard range on their website.

Storm Damage

We had a window ripped off its hinges during the April 2018 storm.....I just walked in with my window hoping that they could fix it for me by the end of the day. After asking if we had covered the window (no we hadn't....2nd story, too dangerous to get anything up over it) they assured me they would have it fixed by end of business. Not only did they have it finished, but they had primed it for me so that I didn't have to AND the paint was almost dry. We had the window hanging again by 7pm that night and are now able to start the process of drying the room out. Awesome job. Thanks to everyone involved!
